Hawaii Also Requires: Hawaii State-Specific Exam
Hawaii requires a state-specific exam covering traditional Hawaiian land tenure systems (kuleana, ahupuaa), Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 464, and state-specific survey practices.
How to Apply
- 1Verify you meet Hawaii's experience requirements through the Hawaii Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, and Landscape Architects.
- 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
- 3Submit your application to the Hawaii state board (not directly to NCEES).
- 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
- 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
- 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.

24 PDH per biennial renewal
