4 years of qualifying experience with degree; 6 years without degree

Rhode Island Also Requires: Rhode Island State-Specific Exam

Rhode Island requires a state-specific exam covering Rhode Island surveying laws (RIGL Title 5, Chapter 8.1) and standards of practice.

  3. 3Submit your application to the Rhode Island state board (not directly to NCEES).
  4. 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
  5. 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
  6. 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.
