Experience Requirements

4 years of qualifying experience with degree; 6 years without degree

Indiana Also Requires: Indiana State-Specific Exam

Indiana requires a state-specific exam covering Indiana surveying laws (IC 25-21.5) and standards of practice.

How to Apply

  1. 1Verify you meet Indiana's experience requirements through the Indiana Board of Registration for Land Surveyors.
  2. 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
  3. 3Submit your application to the Indiana state board (not directly to NCEES).
  4. 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
  5. 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
  6. 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.

Accepts comity; must pass state-specific exam

30 PDH per biennial renewal
