Michigan Also Requires: Michigan State-Specific Exam
Michigan requires a state-specific exam covering Michigan surveying law (MCL 339.2001 et seq.), standards of practice, and the Michigan Coordinate System.
How to Apply
- 1Verify you meet Michigan's experience requirements through the Michigan Board of Professional Surveyors.
- 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
- 3Submit your application to the Michigan state board (not directly to NCEES).
- 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
- 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
- 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.
