Experience Requirements

4 years of qualifying experience with degree; 6 years without degree

Oregon Also Requires: Oregon State-Specific Exam

Oregon requires a state-specific exam covering Oregon surveying law (ORS Chapter 672), standards of practice, and Donation Land Claims unique to Oregon and Washington.

How to Apply

  1. 1Verify you meet Oregon's experience requirements through the Oregon Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying.
  2. 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
  3. 3Submit your application to the Oregon state board (not directly to NCEES).
  4. 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
  5. 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
  6. 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.

30 PDH per biennial renewal
