Experience Requirements

4 years of qualifying experience with ABET degree; 8 years without degree; at least 2 years in responsible charge

Idaho Also Requires: Idaho State-Specific Exam

Idaho requires a state-specific exam covering Idaho surveying statutes (Idaho Code Title 54, Chapter 12) and standards of practice.

How to Apply

  1. 1Verify you meet Idaho's experience requirements through the Idaho Board of Licensure of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.
  2. 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
  3. 3Submit your application to the Idaho state board (not directly to NCEES).
  4. 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
  5. 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
  6. 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.
