County Surveyor
Records of Survey, Corner Records, and survey-related filings.
No dedicated County Surveyor web page exists. Survey plan checks (including map/survey review) are handled by the Public Works Department Engineering Division — the department publishes an 'Engineering and Survey Plan Check List and Application' package (https://publicworks.imperialcounty.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/EngineeringSurveyApplication.pdf, addressed 'To all Surveyors, Architects, Engineers...performing work in the County of Imperial'). No online corner record or Record of Survey search portal exists; recorded maps can be located through the County Clerk-Recorder's online records portal (https://recorder.co.imperial.ca.us/PortalInternet/, verified HTTP 200). Contact Public Works at (442) 265-1818 for survey records by request.

Subdivision & Tentative Parcel Map Requirements
Municipal code citations, submittal checklists, and fees for the county and its largest city.
Imperial County
Tentative parcel maps: Title 9, Division 8 (Subdivision Ordinance), Chapter 3 — Subdivisions-Tentative Map Procedure, §§ 90803.00–90803.06 (§ 90803.00 Tentative Map Required; § 90803.02.B specifies Tentative Parcel Maps drawn on the County's standard 'Tentative Parcel Map' form). Minor subdivisions (parcel maps, up to 4 lots) requirements are in Chapter 5.
Submittal checklist →Live Municode index page for Division 8 (Subdivision Ordinance) would not render its own JS-only nodeId reliably; verified the full ordinance text instead directly from the County's own published PDF at https://www.icpds.com/assets/IS21-0034-TITLE-9-Div-8.pdf (downloaded and read with pdftotext -layout — confirmed 'DIVISION 8: SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE', 'CHAPTER 3: SUBDIVISIONS - TENTATIVE MAP PROCEDURE', adopted Nov 24 1998, last amendment shown Feb 8 2022). The Municode URL given here is the live library link for Division 13 area (confirmed reachable); Division 8 is catalogued in the same Municode library under Title 9 but its node id could not be resolved without a JS-capable browser. The Minor Subdivision Application PDF doubles as the parcel-map submittal checklist (lists required Tentative Map, Preliminary Title Report, and Fee).
Figure appears on the Fee Schedule page embedded in the Minor Subdivision Application PDF itself, sourced from the County's Cost of Services User Fee Study (Wohlford Consulting), approved by the Board of Supervisors June 14, 2022, effective October 1, 2023 (annual CPI increases noted). Single document source, but the fee schedule explicitly cites its own governing resolution/date, which serves as internal corroboration. Note this is the Planning & Development Services application/CEQA deposit; a separate Public Works 'Parcel Map examination fee' deposit of $1,500 applies later at final map submittal (Title 9, Division 8, § 90802.01.B).
Single-sourced: the Imperial County Clerk-Recorder's own fee-schedule table (https://recorder.imperialcounty.org/recorder-services/#recfees) is rendered client-side via a Ninja Tables/Footable plugin that requires JavaScript, so its dollar figures could not be extracted with curl/pdftotext. The figure above is a third-party aggregator (California Counties Recording Fees) that states it sourced the $25.00/$3.00 figures directly from the County's own recorder fee page, and the base Government Code § 27361 fee structure ($25 also matches recent state increases) is consistent, but this is NOT independently corroborated by a second live County document. Treat as provisional — call the Recording Division at (442) 265-1077 to confirm the exact map-page fee before publishing as authoritative.
City of El Centro
Tentative parcel maps: Code of Ordinances, Chapter 24 (Subdivision Regulations), Article VII — Parcel Maps (§ 24-83 et seq.); tentative map procedures for parcel maps of 4 or fewer lots vs. tentative subdivision (tract) maps of 5 or more lots are distinguished within Chapter 24. Article VI (§ 24-63 et seq.) covers Final Maps.
Municode's El Centro library (library.municode.com/ca/el_centro) is a JavaScript single-page app that returned 'requested content cannot be found or you are not authorized' when fetched without a browser (confirmed via both direct curl and a text-rendering proxy). The URL and section citation above are confirmed live search-result titles/URLs from Municode's own index (Article VII - Parcel Maps, Article VI - Final Maps), not a full-text read of the section body. Could not locate a distinct city-published TPM submittal checklist PDF (see gaps).
Downloaded 'Planning and Zoning User Fee Schedule' PDF directly from the City's DocumentCenter and read with pdftotext -layout. Header confirms '1275 W. Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243, (760) 337-4545' which matches the independently-found Planning & Zoning contact info, providing a second corroborating data point for the document's currency/authenticity, though the dollar figures themselves come from this one fee-schedule document.
California cities do not operate their own recording offices; all recordable maps within El Centro are recorded with the Imperial County Recorder per the county's fee schedule (see county.recordingFee above).
