Subdivision & Tentative Parcel Map Requirements
Municipal code citations, submittal checklists, and fees for the county and its largest city.
Yuba County
Tentative parcel maps: Yuba County Code, Title XI (Development Code), Division IV (Land Divisions), Chapter 11.40 'Tentative Maps' — governs tentative parcel maps (divisions of 4 or fewer parcels) and tentative subdivision maps; Chapter 11.41 'Parcel and Final Maps' governs the recorded parcel map. Adopted under Ordinance #1556.
Submittal checklist →Municode's live JS-rendered page could not be scraped directly, but the county's own official Development Code PDF ('Division 4 Land Divisions.pdf') table of contents was fetched and confirms Chapter 11.40 Tentative Maps (p. IV-5) and Chapter 11.41 Parcel and Final Maps (p. IV-11), corroborating Municode search snippets. Checklist PDF confirmed live (3 pages, titled 'Tentative Parcel Map Application Instructions for Filing, Development Code Division IV (Ordinance #1556)').
Single-sourced. This is the live FY 25/26 Planning fee schedule (Code Section 13.20.300). An FY 24-25 or FY 23-24 planning-specific fee PDF could not be located (404 on guessed URL patterns) to cross-check the amount, so treat as single-sourced per verification standard.
Corroborated by a second source: the FY 2021-22 Clerk-Recorder fee schedule (https://cms7files.revize.com/yubaca/Yuba%20County/County%20Administrator/Fees/2021-2022/Clerk-Recorder.pdf) lists the identical $8.00/$2.00 Map Filing Fee, showing the rate has held steady for several years. Current schedule effective July 1, 2024, signed by Clerk-Recorder Donna Hillegass.
City of Marysville
Tentative parcel maps: Marysville Municipal Code Title 17 (Subdivisions) — parcel map fee/procedure authority cited under §§17.12.025, 17.20.010, 17.20.040, 17.24.020, 17.24.140.
Submittal checklist →Marysville's code moved from codepublishing.com to eCode360 (General Code) at https://ecode360.com/MA4528; both that URL and the codepublishing.com mirror returned HTTP 403 to automated fetch, so the live code text itself could not be read directly. Title/section numbers were instead corroborated via OCR of the city's own scanned fee schedule, which cites the same Title 17 section numbers under a 'SUBDIVISIONS' heading. Checklist URL is the city's 'Application for Minor Land Division (Parcel Map)' form/instructions, confirmed live and readable (4 pages).
Directly downloaded and read the current City of Marysville Fee Schedule ('REVISED JANUARY 16, 2024'), linked as 'Fee Schedule' from the city's Planning page (marysville.ca.us/copy-of-planning-zoning-building). Section VII.H SUBDIVISIONS (Authority: Code Sections 17.12.025, 17.20.010, 17.20.040, 17.24.020, 17.24.140) lists verbatim: 'Parcel map (Tentative and Revised) — $1,000'. This confirms the previously stale 2017-11 figure of $1,000 is still the adopted amount in the current (Jan 2024) citywide schedule — same amount, now backed by a current machine-readable source instead of the OCR'd 2017 scan.
Marysville has no separate city Recorder; all final/parcel maps within city limits are recorded at the Yuba County Recorder's Office per the Subdivision Map Act.
