New Mexico Also Requires: New Mexico State-Specific Exam
New Mexico requires a state-specific exam covering New Mexico surveying statutes (NMSA Chapter 61, Article 23), administrative rules, and Spanish and Mexican land grants unique to New Mexico.
How to Apply
- 1Verify you meet New Mexico's experience requirements through the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.
- 2Gather work experience documentation and professional references.
- 3Submit your application to the New Mexico state board (not directly to NCEES).
- 4Once approved by the state board, receive authorization from NCEES.
- 5Register and pay through your MyNCEES account ($375 exam fee).
- 6Schedule your exam at a Pearson VUE test center.
